Yesterday's combination of mis-named and succulent plants and reminds me of a pet hate: trays of different plants at a nursery all with the same label saying â€œsucculentâ€?. Very helpful!

I know there are practical and economic reasons for this: appropriate labels for the millions of succulents not being commercially available not needing enough of them to justify buying in bulk.

But really – I'd be content with a name scribbled on the back of a plastic tag.

agree! but then even the botanical name can change and throw the whole system into chaos. as there are so many hybrid plants it would only be the main plant family name ie aloe, crassula, agave, sedum, etc that could apply, otherwise it would start to be too technical for the average purchaser. (andmany people just call them cactus!)
