what tree?

I want to plant some trees to block out my back neighbours, but not sure what to buy. I need something that will grow to about 4m, something that won't get out of control and I don't want leaves to fall all over the yard. I'm in Brisbane, so it will need to withstand the summer heat. Any suggestions?

Lots of possibiliites. Lemon, mandarin or grapefruit if citrus appeals. Small gums like Corymbia Dwarf Orange or Crimson. Angel’s trumpets (Brugmansia) if its toxic parts are not issue. Gordonia. The smaller Magnolia grandiflora varieties though they will slowly get bigger. Lilly pillies or callistemon for more shrubby, native screening. Camellia or metrosideros for non-native.
