I am currently in Sydney so would like to go to a nursery that sells rare and unusual plants

A recommended day trip for the rare and unusual is Honeysuckle Cottage (www.honeysuckle-cottage.com.au) and put the Collectors' Plant Fair a bit further out in the same direction in your diary (www.collectorsplantfair.com.au) for 16-17 April.
I couldn't guarantee the arisarum tubers there but that particular business can easily be done on-line: www.gardenexpress.com.au, www.tonkinsbulbs.com.au

Fast plant facts

I have found polystyrene fruit boxes are excellent for growing vegies in. I currently have dwarf beans, strawberries & some white queen squash growing.

Palmetto

Palmetto Soft Leaf Buffalo is ideally suited as a lawn in many applications.
